From the presidential residence in The Kremlin in Moscow, Uppsala Cathedral in Sweden to the Sivas stadium in Turkey, the Bird’s nest and other Olympic sites in China all have one thing in common with thousands of office buildings and private homes – electrical heating solutions from Nexans. In fact, the heating cable was invented in Norway in 1926. Since then, we have produced and marketed high quality heating cables in every corner of the world. For the past 100 years we have focused on the continuous development of heating solutions, constantly exceeding the demands of the market.

Nexans heating cables are a Norwegian product and invention. We have been producing heating cables for 90 years. Over the years we have continued developing our products to meet
changing demands and to introduce  better solutions. One example is our unique hidden splice which provides a seamless integration between the hot and the cold part of the cable.
Another is the advanced screen of our MILLIMAT® cable, and our secure end seals which protect against moisture  entering the cable.

Heating cables have been manufactured in Norway since they were invented by Nexans in 1926, and today the manufacturing plant is located at Langhus, 20 km south of Oslo. The Langhus plant also houses our logistics center, serving customers both in Norway and in our export markets and in Sweden we also have a logistics center that servs our Nordic counties as Sweden, Finland, Danmark and the Baltic countries.

Tested in accordance with international standards
All products are designed and tested in accordance with international standards, such as IEC and CENELEC standards, and meet the requirements of the European low voltage directive. The production is approved in accordance with the quality standard ISO 9001 and the environmental policy standard  ISO 14001. Nexans offers a 20 year warranty on its series resistance heating cable products.
