DEFROST FLEX, Drum cable

DEFROST FLEX is a series resistant heating cables for installation inside water pipes. It comprises 4 single core resistance wire for heating, out of which one is a pure copper wire, plus a grounding wire. Nominal output is 7-12 W/m, and maximum operating voltage is 500V. For 230V, suitable lenghts are between 60 and 170 meters, and for 400V, suitable lengths are between 95 and 295 meters. For other voltages, calculations can be made.

All 4 conductors are connected in one end of the cable, and according to the installed length, the resistance wires are connected to the power supply cable in various patterns.

Only the original end- and termination kit supplied by Nexans (10265444) is approved for the installation of DEFROST FLEX

Nexans insertion nipple (10212358) must be used for insertion of heating cable in drinking water pipes
